Want to be a Virtuoso in Pilot Jobs? Go Through the List

Being ace aviator is not a trivial kind task as perfection in each and every step requires extensive practice and training. As long as there are people with aspirations to fly, there will be proficient instructors who will always consider developing necessary and required skills in the upcoming aviators as their utmost priority. Many seasoned instructors, therefore, continuously keep working on inventing unique and more effective ways of training and learning the art of flight.

Keeping in mind the magic additives- concentration and patience, those with a childhood dream of finding a career in aviation, should always be open for self-improvement, learning new methods of perfecting the art of flying, and working on some of the common problems that are being passed down through generations.

The following passage sheds light on some of the tips that will benefit both starters and experienced aviators alike.

Pay attention to what the airplane is telling you

If there was just one skill that you could master, it should be knowing what your airplane is telling you. The art to keep the ball centered will result in a precise flight. Your posterior should help you by signaling if the plane is flying in a given line. Additionally, also learn to pay attention to the skid ball. Learning nose attitude is also very helpful as its the primary instrument for airspeed control in a light aircraft. A pilot, who is aware of what the most is doing and can control it in all situations, will never get in trouble.

Get your aerodynamics basics right

Generally, pilots just have a knowledge of why an airplane flies, but only a few focus and spend their time in understanding the basics of the science of aerodynamics. Though it is not necessary to become an aero engineer but updating yourself with aerodynamics, and it's intricacies will assist you to get handier with the machine. Additionally, you will be able to improve your reflexes and jet management including effects of angles, controlling the chamber of wing and tail, among others.

Practice one of the toughest parts of flying- landing

As an aviator, it is most critical to concentrate on landing and learn this art to ensure safe and accurate landings.

Firstly, to achieve the accuracy in landings rivet your eyes completely on the runway numbers displayed on the windshield.

These numbers will constantly tell you where the airplane will touch down on the runway. The numbers work in two steps - if these are visually moving towards you (down the windshield), then you have to drive over them; whereas in case the numbers are moving away from you (up the windshield) then you have to go under them.

Secondly, as an aviator, you shall have two major goals:-

a) To know where the airplane is going to touch down and have a good control over it.

b)  Always try to touch down in the first 600-800 feet of a runway and try to complete your landing on a 2000 –foot runway, regardless of how long the runway is. A 2,000-foot runway is considered short for landing, and hence it is pertinent that you take the help of an ace instructor and practice the short landing. Getting yourself involved in the comprehensive training sessions will also help you rectify your problems.

Get right with the geographic features

Understand all the geographic features of the plane and know all the navigation techniques.  Getting well versed with these skills will help you answer questions like whether to head towards a particular direction or to avoid it. Moreover, always stick to GPS, and like in any other career, always stay updated with the rapidly advancing technology.

Make your each flight a learning experience and improve on the new one

Each flight of your career gives you a room to learn and improve on the required parameters. Be it any situation, whether you are flying regularly or not, it is necessary to work on the factors that will increase your proficiency and help you to become an ace aviator. Observe your mistakes- smaller or bigger, and find out solutions for them. Like for instance, check out the accuracy of your take off time or focus on the ETA in your head. A continuous practice will help you reach higher levels of proficiency.

So, in conclusion, just like any other industry, one can become good at an aviation job by regular practice and hard work in terms of working on closing gaps in their performance. For a pilot, this process of self-improvement is even more important as flying requires mastering a lot of things and having an acute attention to detail. With lucrative pilot opportunities available around the globe, try to be tech savvy, improve in the areas of mathematics and maps, and keep yourself updated with new technologies.

5 Tips On Asking For A Job Reference

During your job search you’ll more than likely come across situations where you have to provide references to back up your application for a vacancy.
Depending on the role, these may be former employers and colleagues, or character references, which can be anyone from former school tutors or professors to colleagues in any extra-curricular activities you take part in.
Whoever you choose as your reference, it’s vital that you ask them for permission first, so they’re fully prepared and they’re not caught off-guard.
With that in mind, here are a few tips on asking someone for a reference for a job application.
1) Consider The Position
One of the mistakes a lot of job seekers make when choosing who to ask to be a reference is picking the same people for each job application.

Which reference you choose should depend on the set of skills and experience the job in question requires.
Think about which of your potential references could sell you the best for this role based on their experiences of working with you, and choose the best ones based on this.
2) Avoid E-mail
So, you’ve chosen the references you want for this job, now it’s time to contact them.
The best way to do this is in person or over the phone, as an email is too impersonal – you’re asking for a favor, the least you can do is pick the phone up and call.
If you can, invite them for a coffee to catch up and ask for the reference there – maintaining relationships with former colleagues can open you up to lots of opportunities, so a quick coffee won’t hurt!
3) Send Over Your CV And Job Specification
Once your chosen person has agreed to give you a reference, send them your updates CV, as well as the job specification for the position you’re applying for.
This will ensure that they know what to expect when they get the call, as well as jogging their memory on exactly what responsibilities you carried out when you worked together.
If you want to go that extra mile, highlight the key parts of the job specification that you feel they’d be best placed to provide a reference for – they’ll thank you for doing the hard work for them, believe me!
4) Ask For An Additional Letter Of Reference
While you’re asking this contact to provide a reference to an employer for a particular job vacancy, there’s no harm in asking them to give you a general letter of reference to use for future positions.
This means you won’t have to go back to them every time you need to use them as a reference – you can provide anyone who asks with the letter, then provide further contact details if needed!
Also, the letter will be a great bit of extra collateral for when you get to the final stages of any future job applications, as it might just give you that extra edge.
So there we go, a few tips on how to ask someone to provide a reference for a job application! Do you agree with these tips or have any of your own?
Let me know in the comments below!

94,289 Job Visas for Filipinos related to Qatar World Cup 2022

by Raynald C Rivera

DOHA: Thousands of jobs, mostly related to the country’s preparation for World Cup 2022, await Filipinos in Qatar.

There are 94,289 visas reserved for Filipino workers that Qatar is hoping to be deployed soon, mostly in the health sector and the ongoing rail project, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Hussein bin Youssef Al Mulla informed the Philippine delegation during the recent second Philippines-Qatar Joint Committee Meeting on Labour Matters. “This means that many employers here prefer Filipinos in certain job categories for skilled workers and professionals,” Labor Attache Leopoldo B De Jesus told The Peninsula yesterday.

Knowledge and experience as well as English language proficiency are some of the reasons why employers prefer Filipino workers to be part of their companies, said De Jesus.

Skilled Filipino workers who come here have the knowledge and right training courtesy of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda), while the professionals, on the other hand, are experienced and licensed, he said.

The Philippines has received 78,426 job orders from Qatar, the latest figures which are based on the job requests by manpower companies processed by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), he added.

The population of Filipinos in Qatar currently stands at 188,000, the Ministry told the Philippine delegation.

The meeting was held in line with the 2008 Additional Protocol with respect to labour cooperation between both countries signed in 1997. Transparency in the recruitment process with emphasis on ethical recruitment practices and settlements of disputes involving Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) were among the matters discussed, said POEA Administrator Hans Leo J Cacdac, who led the Philippine delegation

During the meeting, Deputy Minister Al Mulla told the Philippine delegation that the Qatari Labour Law prohibits payment of recruitment fees.

Cacdac promised to issue a circular warning prospective OFWs coming to Qatar against paying such fees to recruiters.

The Philippine delegation submitted a proposal in line with enhancing the protection of Household Service Workers (HSWs).

Qatar announced that it is nearing completion of the drafting of a law to protect HSWs.

Both sides agreed to exchange blacklists of erring recruitment agencies and white lists of good performing agencies.

‘Comprehensive information and orientation programme for migrant workers and ‘skills, development, certification, upgrading and recognition system’ — two of the project outcomes of Abu Dhabi Dialogue — were also discussed. The third joint committee meeting will be hosted by Manila later this year, to be preceded by a technical working group meeting.
